Final Event 22 — Youth Entrepreneur Summit

AIROOT is a highly innovative environmental start-up that tackles the challenges of mass deforestation and forest fires along with their impact on the world through the use of autonomous reforestation drone swarms and high-precision tree tracking systems. The system is composed of a swarm of autonomous drones that drop seed pods (seeds surrounded by pest protection and germination boosting layers) in a randomized pattern similar to a naturally regenerated forest, being 3 times more time efficient and 3-10 times more cost efficient than state-of-the-art solutions. On top of that, AIROOT also focuses on Invasive Species Management Solutions, tracking planted and already existing trees in secure ledgers to prevent illegal deforestation, developing high germination rate seed pods, and many more.

Kanga-Care is an affordable, locally knitted double layered premature carrier that embraces the Kangaroo skin to skin mother care technique of generating and maintaining warmth. The position in which a baby is held in the carrier improves on its breathing patterns, stimulates breastmilk production and promotes mother to child bonding. It is uniquely fitted with vital reading sensors for continuous monitoring of the baby’s body temperature, pulse rate, and oxygen saturation. The device then relays this information of the vital signs to the Kanga Care mobile application through a WIFI Connection to a remote monitoring system managed by health workers. In case of derangement, an alarm rings to alert both the mother and health worker to intervene timely.

With Melodizr, musicians are able to organize their music life and pursue their dreams of a music career. They can organize various music data such as songs, files and PDFs in one place, as well as conveniently record music works and spontaneous ideas. The app is a safe haven for music ideas, as the musician can capture them with one-click and keeps an overview of them. Music data is no longer scattered across different apps and is easy to find. Musicians are also able to share their music projects with their band and work together. With Melodizr, musicians actually finish their songs. Our goal is to empower each aspiring musician to continue pursuing and communicating their music.

We aim to be the leading marketplace platform for modest sustainable clothes and empower modestly dressed women to express their unique styles and make modest fashion mainstream.

Despite tons of e-commerce apps out there, viable access hub for items, professional skills and events for students remains inaccessible. Every year, millions of students resort to sell-off their hostel items (mattress, reading desk, books, electronics etc), especially after graduation, but no platform to connect them to other students desperately in need to buy these items. Millions more students have valuable professional skills but once again no platform to connect them to others looking to hire such skills. Also, no platform exists to promote or find student-related events happening around them. ...Until today. Introducing Ovicampus, the world's first student-only platform where users can buy & sell with other students from the same university. Our marketplace mobile app connects students looking to buy/sell items, services & events to fellow students on campus. Simply put - The world's first e-commerce for students.

TcrApp – an innovative application for mobile devices (Android & iOS in particular) which is capable of protecting drivers from falling asleep or experiencing attention falls during a journey – and of operating effectively without any prerequisites other than its installation. We are adopting machine learning, artificial intelligence and mathematical modelling in order to figure out the relationship between driver's status at the beginning of a journey and his/her performance manifested afterwards – subsequently, this model is used to estimate the probability of dangerous attention falls in the near future. As a consequence, our mobile app is able to warn its users in advance about an impending threat, hence automatically affecting their brains & consciousnesses, and thus effectively allowing them to drive safely.

U&Earth strives to provide women with top quality period care, and to help those from low-income areas receive free sanitary products (e.g., pads and tampons). We achieve this by collaborating with low decile schools in NZ and Fiji – with every item purchased, we donate an identical one to our partner schools. Our sanitary products minimize negative environmental impacts by using green and biodegradable materials. They are placed in schools’ bathrooms so that all students have easy, free access to period care and hence education during period. U&Earth also offers an app for customers to freely track period, receive personalised help from our staff, and learn about menstruation to remove the taboos surrounding the topic.

What The Health is developing a veins finder medical device called VeinWatch for hospitals and clinics so they can avoid false needle injections in patients and have confidence in needle insertion. VeinWatch is a wristband-like wearable device that projects the vein pattern underneath the skin onto the patient’s hand to assist medical practitioners to locate veins fast and accurately. This can be especially useful for patients with difficult-to-find veins, reducing the number of sticks required and minimizing patient discomfort. VeinWatch is an innovative product that improves user-friendliness, vein projection accuracy, and the size of the device.

AC Biode Ash is the largest solid landfill in the world. Annually, 400.000.000t are sent to landfills. AC Biode introduce the world`s first upcycling of ash into a high-value product, an adsorbent we call CircuLite. CircuLite can be used in carbon capture, self-cooling concrete, soil improvement, water and air purification, face masks, and cleaning up oil spills. This allows power plants to lower their carbon footprint, and costs and create a circular economy. Join us to end ash to landfill.

PragmaClin has developed a patient monitoring and assessment tool for supporting neurologists in their clinical assessments of Parkinson's Disease (PD) progression. The digital cloud-based software captures motor assessment data with cameras and patient-reported data through surveys and scores disease severity using innovative software. Data collection is based on an internationally recognized rating scale. Patient dashboards provide patients with general information on disease status, and clinician dashboards provide neurologists with detailed information on disease progression to support treatment decisions.
